Goodbye 2016 Hello 2017
2017 is finally here!
It seems like yesterday that we were saying the same thing about 2016. It’s been another top year at Lewis & Schofield in an interesting, learning and curvy sort of way as well as having such a good time photographing all the people we met.
We’ve had to learn how to stay on top of a new website and learn all about SEO things and Social media links, some people are naturally excellent at this but it’s been a steep learning curve for us both as we are far happier behind a camera than in front of a computer.
All last year’s couples were wonderful and we feel very privileged to have been part of their big days. We wish them all the best in their married lives together.
So here’s a few of our favorites from 2016.
Matt & Hannah’s wedding.
This was a splendid day in a field in Dorset. The couple had hired a marquee and decorated the whole interior and exterior by themselves. Utilising organic materials such as carved wood, wild flowers and handmade bunting.
The couple had a local ukulele band playing throughout the day keeping the guests entertained
The couples wedding car was an old VW van with a huge sunroof so they could stand up and wave from the roof.
Carly & Paul’s wedding at Sandbanks Hotel
This was another notable day when Dave and I joined in the oddest wedding game we have ever seen. (Let me explain) you take a log and a bunch of 6” nails and a hammer. You place your nail on the log and attempt to drive it home with the thin end of the hammer. If you miss you take a drink and pass it on to the next player. This goes on until a nail is driven home. Apparently it’s quite common in certain countries and it’s a lot harder than it looks.
Laura and Mark’s wedding at Church knowle in Kimmeridge
This was a total highlight of our year an wonderful couple who were married on their farm at one of our favorite areas of Dorset. A church wedding with Twix the Labrador then back to the farm and a ride round the coastal path with the happy couple. Then back to the farm for more photographs, blue tractors and one of the best, best man speeches ever.
So here’s to 2017 and we are looking forward to meeting new friends and creating some awesome images for all our happy couples.
See you on the road
Seb & Dave
